Every great studio needs a spark of madness – ours just happens to come in the form of a walking, talking vintage video camera named Stu.
Part inventor’s experiment, part creative genius, Stu’s been around longer than most social media platforms (and he’s not shy about reminding us). With a deep love for storytelling and video production for social media, he’s the beating heart of studioRK, proof that creativity never goes out of style, it just evolves.
Stu was created in 1827 by the eccentric Doctor Lou, part inventor, part dreamer, full-time genius. For years, Stu lived happily with his creator, until one fateful day he stumbled across a dusty cupboard filled with scrapped designs, his long-forgotten prototype friends.
With the Doctor on his deathbed, Stu did what any self-respecting vintage camera would do: he broke his friends out of the scrap cupboard.
In his final moments, Doctor Lou whispered his dying wish – “Go and help humans. Find friends.”
At first, Stu ignores his creator’s wishes – he wasn’t so sure about humans. He spent decades wandering through history, frustrated by how people used technology.
From the early days of film to the digital boom, he watched as creativity became something anyone could capture, yet somehow, many forgot the art of storytelling.
Disillusioned, he took off into the stars.
Watching from afar, Stu noticed things change in the 1990s.
He began experimenting with cameras, editing, and video production for social media, discovering the beauty of helping brands share real, human stories.
After centuries of adventure (and maybe a few existential crises), Stu decided to use his immortal talents for good.
After a slightly bumpy crash landing, Stu’s back on Earth and together with his prototype pals he built studioRK – a place where creativity, technology, and storytelling collide.
Now, Stu’s on a mission to help brands big and small with video production for social media channels, full production brand videos, and beautiful brand photography.
Because let’s face it – life’s too short for boring videos.
